     Building on a Budget

     No doubt you've seen advertising and sales pages where the owner boast how they have found a 'magic' system of succeeding online after having got into debt by several thousand dollars.

     The claims may be true, but for the other 99.99% who'd tried to build a business on their credit card, the result was a personal and most likely a family disaster.

     The fact is that it's so easy to believe your sponsor or the company when they tell you that building your business will be easy, just go out and buy some leads, or buy cold calling genealogy lists, or hand out or drop business cards, or other expensive methods.

     Now I'm not saying these methods don't work, but they are very, very expensive, and very inefficient at getting people into your company.

  
So it makes sense to run your business in a way that you don't spend above a monthly budget you set, and Building on a Budget will guide you through the process.

     In the last chapter in the book, (Yes you get a hard copy through the mail), Mike Dillard explains 'The funded proposal', a system in which he is a recognized leader.

     Building on a Budget starts with the introduction which rather neatly brings home the point that everyone needs to start at the bottom; with little bits of information like "Dan Akroyd started out as a mail sorter for Canada's postal service", or "Sandra Bullock worked as a bartender", or "Danny DiVito was formally a trained hair stylist before his break in Taxi", and finally "Mike Dillard himself started out waiting on tables!"

     The introduction primarily is about working your business within a budget - efficiently.

     The next chapter is "How to turn your traffic into live, exclusive leads", and Mike goes through a fictitious business building campaign to explain the best way to turn visitors into leads.

     Chapter 2 of Building on a Budget takes you through the best way of generating free traffic using Craigslist. Mike shows you the best way to use Craigslist, and once again uses examples so that you get the best results. As he points out, you have to stand out from those who just shout "buy mine - please".

     (As many people point out "Competition is easier at the top", there isn't so much of it. And soaking up all the training you can get will see you at the top.)

     The other chapters in Building on a Budget include using videos, getting free traffic and top search engine results with press releases and blogs, all explained with examples.
